This Index arranges all part numbers, including proprietary ones, from the 1971 season 45 cu.in. (750cc) 40 cu.in. (650cc), 30 cu.in. (500cc) and 15 cu.in. (250cc) spare parts catalogues into alphabetical and numerical sequence.

This index can be used for various purposes:  To find whether a part is common to both ranges.  To find the frequency with which it is used. Provided the part number is known to find its location in the catalogue and therefore on the motorcycle.  As a total listing of parts used on 1971 motorcycles, and as a stock location record by using the blank end column.
